The Riverview Parks & Recreation Department understands that quality of life is vital to the residents of Riverview.  The numerous facilities, recreational programs & community events contribute directly to the health & well being of the entire community.  The Department is as diverse as the community it serves.  As in so many other aspects of life, the key to running a successful department is having the ability to strike a balance between young & old, tradition & innovation, and the needs of one verses the needs of many.  Keeping this in mind, the staff continually strives to honor the past while embracing the challenges of the future, and to serve an entire community while maintaining meaningful connections with individual participants.  Together, we will achieve a more “Active Riverview”.

Riverview is blessed with a variety of recreational activities, sports, community events & landscapes that draw people from all over the Tri-community area.  A website like this is so important because it forces us to realize just how many things we’re missing. It can motivate us to get more involved in activities that we’ve always wanted to try, but somehow never found the time.
