"On The Move"
(Grade K-6)

The Playgrounds “On The Move” Program is designed for grades K-6 and will run Monday to Thursday from 9:15-11:45am & 1:15-3:45pm.  Fridays are reserved for Special Events, which will always be held at the Recreation Complex Area by the P&R Office, either outside on the sports fields or in the arena, dependent upon weather.  All Rainy Day activities will be held at the Byron Dobson Arena.

Each “On the Move” SUNCREW Team will consist of 4 members who will travel to selected locations in either the West or East end as per the assigned schedule.  The SUNCREW Team, will provide a variety of Active, Passive, Sports & Arts & Crafts / Quiet Activities that will be offered simultaneously at each of the locations to ensure that every child will have activity options for the 2.5 hour duration. 

The Playgrounds “On The Move” Program is a Free Drop-In Program designed to provide recreational opportunities for kids within walking distance of their homes.  This new format, however, will provide greater variety & flare with the Team approach, which will encompass and accommodate greater numbers throughout the summer and keep the Fitness & Fun approach to recreation in the forefront.

Please be advised that our Playgrounds “On the Move” Program is designed as a drop-in activity program & NOT intended as a free babysitting service.  All children must have a place to go at all times during the day to access washrooms and for emergencies.
  These guidelines will be strictly enforced! 
Program forms must be filled out and are required prior to participation.

The schedule will remain consistent every week
to avoid confusion and mix-ups.
