Purpose

The purpose of the Parks & Recreation Department is to foster community spirit and healthy active living for “ALL” citizens of Riverview.  This is accomplished by, direct programming and effective management of parks, facilities and open spaces.

Indirectly, the Department provides assistance to community groups and organizations through leadership, consultation and coordination.
